UK Trade Minister Visits McNulty Offshore
UK TRADE minister Ian McCartney made a visit to McNulty Offshore Construction Ltd
The Minister met with management staff, including Steve Keyworth, managing director, and gave a presentation to staff about the state of the industry.
The minister said:
"I've been very impressed by what I've seen today, and shows just why the north east is a leader in the oil and gas field. The staff are highly skilled, motivated, and will go anywhere in the world to get the job done. The region's firms punch well above their weight on the international stage because of their commitment and attention to detail."
He discussed in-depth how firms could be better supported, adding:
"While business is good, there can always be improvements made and I have been given plenty of feedback of how to go about it."
Mr Keyworth said after the visit:
"I found the minister to be a genuine, engaging and passionate man."
